The accompanying dance mirrored these emotions, characterized by strong, rhythmic movements. The key instrument was the “Ravanne,” a large goatskin drum that provided the driving beat. Dancers would move their hips and shoulders in a circular motion, their steps mimicking the labor they endured in the fields.
