Belly Dance Courses for All Levels at Expression Dance Academy!

Embark on your Belly Dance journey at Expression Dance Academy! We offer a variety of courses designed to cater to all skill levels, from complete beginners to seasoned dancers. Find Your Perfect Fit:

  • Beginner Level: Ideal for newcomers or those wanting to revisit the fundamentals. This level focuses on posture, basic technique, steps, sequences, and rhythms, providing a solid foundation for your dance exploration.
  • Improver Level (Beginner-Intermediate): This level is designed for students who have completed at least one year of Belly Dance study. Here, you’ll refine your technique, delve deeper into rhythm exploration, and begin to discover folkloric elements.
  • Intermediate Level: Have you mastered the basics? This level takes you further, immersing you in a deeper study of rhythms and the foundations of folkloric dance.
  • Intermediate/Advanced & Advanced Levels: Ready to push your boundaries? These advanced levels offer intricate sequences, exploration of diverse styles and rhythms, and the art of using various accessories (veils, fans, canes, Isis wings, finger cymbals, and more).

  • Limited Class Sizes: We believe in personalized attention, thus capping our classes at 8 students for optimal learning.

Ready to Start Dancing? Here’s what you need to know:

Before Your First Class:

  • Arrive Early: We recommend arriving 5 minutes early to allow time for changing and settling in.
  • Respectful Learning Environment: Out of respect for enrolled students, observation during lessons is not permitted.
  • Filming Policy: Filming or recording requires the teacher’s consent, typically granted at the end of class to allow you to review choreography.

What to Wear:

  • Comfort is Key: Wear loose-fitting clothing that allows for free movement, such as leggings and a top/t-shirt.
  • Footwear: Opt for bare feet, non-slip socks, or ballet shoes with flexible soles.
  • Coin Hip Belt (Optional): While not mandatory, a coin hip belt adds a touch of sound and flair to your movements. A scarf tied around your hips can also serve as a substitute.

  • Convenience at Your Fingertips: Book your course online directly from this page! Payment can be made via credit card or bank transfer.
  • Choose the option that fits you best:

Ultimate Value: Enrol in the full 12-week or 14-week term. This option provides the most consistent learning experience 

Flexible Option: Split the term into two manageable blocks. This option offers increased flexibility but comes at a slightly higher cost.

  • Free Trial Class: Unsure if Belly Dance is for you? We offer a free trial class! Simply contact us at info@expressiondanceacademy.co.uk to book your spot.
  • Non-Refundable Policy (with Flexibility): Please note that class fees are non-refundable. However, if you’re unable to attend a studio class anymore, you can transfer your fee to participate in one of our online classes instead.
  • Confirmation Email: Once you book, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox.
